About A Cheap Tire

Located at 1300 E Cook St, Springfield, IL 62703, A Cheap Tire operates as a tire shop serving Springfield in Illinois. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as auto repair shop, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

In Springfield, a plug or patch repair usually takes under half an hour without an appointment, while a full set of tires with alignment is best booked ahead. Compare the out-the-door price across shops in Illinois, since installation fees vary more than the tires themselves. Keep the receipt: the tire warranty and any road-hazard coverage are tied to it. Check the listing for hours, whether the shop handles truck or trailer tires, and its Google rating before you drive over on a spare.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 9:30 am–5:30 pm. It is closed on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (217) 670-1596. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.

Customers rate it 4.4 out of 5 on Google across 308 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded tire shops in Springfield.

These guys are great. Amazing prices, very helpful, fast service. This is my first time getting used tires and if I lived in Springfield permanently I would be back.

Great experience. I came in because of a strong burning smell after driving and they quickly found the real issue — a piece of rubber had fallen onto the exhaust. They removed it, explained everything clearly, and most importantly didn’t try to invent unnecessary repairs or scare me into spending more money. Honest and straightforward service. I appreciate the help and the quick diagnosis.

Staff is always friendly. They get you in and out. Might have to wait if they are busy. Its never for long. I'd be concerned if I went to a place that never had a wait, right? Never had an issue with a tire. They've always been transparent with alternative options.

Stranded while traveling in a bucket truck and they fixed us up right away, working us into their already busy schedule. Tires were a good price too. Highly recommend. Picture #1 is of the old bad tire about to pop. Picture #2 is of the new tires sitting pretty. Back on the road.
